Job Description:
1) The candidate will be responsible for laboratory infrastructure and implementing the projects in proper coordination with the scientific and administrative staffs.
2) Should be able to understand the project and infrastructural requirements of the researcher.
3) Should be able to define adequate instrumentation and IT requirements for the unit.
4) Responsible for project planning, approval of design, and developing BOQs.
5) Responsible for preparing the project specific budget, getting the same approved from all concerned departments and preparing the ‘Cash Flow Chart’.
6) Responsible for vendor and supplier identification, negotiation, and relationships.
7) Responsible for project costing, setting completion timelines, and appointing relevant contractors and suppliers.
8) Responsible for identifying and defining relevant scientific laboratory equipments with their specifications and sourcing them from national or international suppliers.
9) Responsible for vendor and supplier payments, managing the warranties and guaranties of equipments and infrastructure and streamlining the annual maintenance requirements.
10) Responsible for building the engineering team for the institute and their management.
11) Responsible for project coordination amongst the scientists, support and relevant vendors and manage effective and timely communication.
12) Responsible for providing detailed project progress reports and timelines to assess delays, risks, etc.
Candidate Profile:
1) BTech/BE in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with 10-12 years of experience.
2) Experiences in research and campus management are highly desirable.
3) Good communication and coordination skills.
4) Excellent interpersonal skills.
5) Good understanding and working knowledge of various electro-mechanical systems and HVAC System shall be appreciated.
6) Hands on knowledge on AutoCAD, special project management softwares like MS projects etc.
7) Possess initiative & be self-driven.
