JOB DESCRIPTION
1) Responsible for developing research strategies for discovery projects.
2) Designing and testing algorithms.
3) Conducting prototyping to evaluate possible scenarios leveraging computational and statistical techniques for the development of novel approaches for high-throughput data analyses.
4)Experience creating models and strategies to drive scientific decisions.
5) Proficient in computational modeling, simulation and data analysis
1) PhD in Physics, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Operations research, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science.
2) Programming skills and ability to build predictive models from complex data.
3) 5+ years experience with Statistical packages (R, Matlab, SAS) or modeling packages
4) Strong publication record in leading scientific journals
5) Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills as well as proven problem solving abilities
6) Ability to work independently and establish necessary internal and external collaborations
7) Machine learning experience is highly desired
8) Experience with scientific programming (Perl, C/C++, Java) is highly desired
9) Experience working with agricultural/biological scientific data is highly desired
